| This is the first of three Arcs, starting near the Louvre (in the background) and ending at La Défense, which is the modern section of Paris with skyscrapers. This one is called l'Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel. All three arcs are linked in a straight line, this line being the main avenues of Paris - the Champs Elysées and the Avenue Charles de Gaulle. |
